Another part of Sikko Steen's family's history

Today, 14th of April year 2012 we visited the brother of Sikko Steen. The conversation about needlework resulted in the find of this work, made by his mother. She was 9 at the time and as it has been made on the 4th of April in the year 1912 it's just to much of a coincidence to let this pass: 100 years old.

Vandaag, 14 april 2012, bezochten wij de broer van Sikko Steen. Het gesprek ging over borduren waarbij bijgaand werk werd opgezocht, gemaakt door zijn moeder. Ze was 9 jaar oud destijds en aangezien het is gemaakt op 4 april 1912, was dit net even te toevallig om het voorbij te laten gaan: 100 jaar oud.

'Got stuck on R.O.N. in ALA' probably the slide is from 9th or 10th of January 1955, since in the log there's an entry that indicates Formation Maxwell, either Tempa or Bryan.

Johnnies Cafe around November 1954 with Robert G Ashcraft (Bob), Troy and Bill

This picture was probably taken during a visit at Quanah around the 24th of November year 1954. During a drive a stop at Johnnies Cafe where, according to the clock the stay at least lasted more then a quarter of an hour. On the picture Bob, we assume this is Robert G. Ashcraft (March 28 1933/Jan 26 1998), Troy and Bill. Anybody with more information about Troy and Bill, please don't hesitate to contact us by replying on the link below.

Deze dia is waarschijnlijk genomen tijdens een trip naar Quanah ongeveer 24 November 1954. Tijdens een ritje een stop bij Johnnies Cafe, waar volgens de klok minstens een kwartier werd gespendeerd. Op de dia Bob, aannemende dat dit dan Robert G. Ashcraft(28-03-1933 - 26-01-1998) is, Troy en Bill.
